ODB died over the weekend. Very sad, especially as he was recording a new album. He will be missed. I am wearing a black hoodie in tribute.
As we found the fop shop in Reading, I have some more good music to listen to. This is all good. I have an U-Roy compilation to hear sometime soon. And 2 CDs of Northern Soul.
And so off to Reading tomorrow. Will be cooking a big fat Mexican meal tonight, can’t wait for that meself. Then some shopping and relaxing with friends. Its bloody cold already, and its supposed to drop below freezing at some point this weekend. Really should bring in my little outdoor cactus tonight. My cactii have been going great guns lately ,I think I should get some more soon

Sorry, thats my browser advert for the day out of the way. Firefox as a browser is a constant delight, I very occasionally have to go back and use Internet Explorer, and its like the difference between a racing car and and a Skoda. Its designed how I want it, cos I can set it up how I want it. Simple really.
I’ve also just downloaded the homeland security threat level extension, that tells me how safe the world is in a little icon at the bottom of my browser. Well, saves me reading the news don’t it?
New toy, have a DVD recorder. Its a cheap and cheerful Liteon, and it is lovely, does everything I want. Have started to copy some video tapes onto DVD. Am going through my collection of music documentaries at the moment. Have a vague plan to copy all my Twin Peaks too, but will see how I get on/far I can be bothered
Am going to try really hard and get caught up with writing here again, have been naughty. I will try harder.b
Have had a few days off work to do the sum of shag all. In which sense I was successful. Got GTASA, which is a great game, amazingly atmospheric. Also had a little trip into London on Friday. Paid a visit to Cybercandy which is a shop specialising in imported sweets. My personal highlight was the Reeces lipbalm, which just can’t be healthy. But it is good.
Have ordered my copy of GTASA. And have friday off. These are both good and connected things. My bruise has almost completely subsided. My lovely folks visited on Saturday, brought us two bookcases and a Dyson, took us out for a corking meal at one of my favourite fish restaurants, and were great company. Life, it must be said, is pretty good.
Actually I am underselling my holiday, I am off from Wednesday to Sunday. No plans, just relaxing. All good.
Had a flu jab a couple of days ago, and I now have a cold and a twatting big bruise on my arm. Am starting to regret my wisdom in doing this. Other than that not too bad, have actually managed to start writing a little bit of an idea for a story up. Will reveal more if I write more, seems like a fair swap to me.
Have decided I need GTASA. I wasn’t convinced until I heard some of the detail in the game and the soundtrack, which is awesome beyond compare

So Sky+ turned out to be well worth getting. Astonishingly easy to use, really is one of the nicest interfaces I have ever used. Pausing and rewinding live TV is very weird but great, that is going to be so handy for sport n suchlike. The only downside I can see thus far is that it would be better with a much much bigger hard drive, but its not bad still. 250-300gb would be fantastic though 😉 Will really need to get that DVD recorder at some stage, will let me copy stuff off easily. In fact, if I do, I could probably do with a printer to let me do nice covers for the DVDs. Hmmm *plots*
I was too tired to game much last night. Really really happy it is friday. Looking forward to sleep, food and drink, in that order. Oh and getting Sky+ installed 🙂 I am going to record so much crap, I can’t wait. For one, I might set it up to record every simpsons shown on sky, which should let me finally fill all the gaps in my Simpsons watching. Also must purchase a DVD recorder at some stage(the two things are not connected in the slightest).
7 hours to go, then I can go and fall asleep in front of the cooker
