Right, tonight what I want to do is sit down and have a long hard look at what I have written in story terms so far, and see what I can do with it. Do I want to carry on, do I want to rewrite it into something else, do I want to start something else entirely? These and other important things are my task for tonight.

Organised and sorted a lot of my stuff this weekend, got things in some form of order. Cleared out some things, suspect I should clear out more. Just trying to get rid of the useless junk in my life. S would probably suggest that I need a couple of skips for that, but I am talking within my twisted form of reasoning.

Really looking forwards to a long weekend over the Bank Holiday, hopefully going to get up to some fun stuff to pass the time.

Slept more last night, but conversely feel more tired today. Suspect I have the toll of a weird weekend catching up on me, so probably more sleep due tonight. Feeling a little better today, although still a little muted obviously

Am watching the Olympics wherever I can at the moment, keeps me occupied. Needs the athletics to get started to make it really worthwhile. And shut the papers up about our lack of medals.

Grandpa Flotsky died over the weekend, so feeling a bit low at the moment. He had made it to 84, so he hadn’t done bad, but he’d been very ill all year, and it just all caught up on him. Just feel for me folks and my Grandma at the moment, and miss him. Not in a very writey mood, so to speak. Thinking of him.

But it is the weekend tonight, so I don’t really care, load up with coffee and plough onwards towards hometime. Excited due to the start of the Olympics tonight, waiting to see which random major celebrity is unearthed to do something. I reckon the lass from “My big fat Greek wedding” is odds on to be there.

Vistors from Australia and France in the past two days. I must make some sort of world map graphic and shove a load of dots on it to represent this, it fascinates me (and me alone probably).

This weekend involves a couple of meetups with friends, and starts with a lazy night in front of the tellie with S. Can’t wait 🙂 Will probably be up late watching a repeat of the Opening ceremony or something.

I could sleep a decade quite happily this morning, even had a relatively early night, but just in one of those moods where the only place to be was tucked up in bed. Onto and into the coffee it is

So I am about 3 pounds off losing my first stone (and I am not playing Curling). Quite suprised to have lost that much so quickly. To be completely honest, I can barely notice it, but I know its a good thing to be doing, and its more about keeping it going and trying to get to a much more sensible size. So the next time you see me, tell me I look like I have lost loads of weight, even if you can’t see it either 😉

didn’t get wet last night, mainly due to it not raining, which was nice. I finally feel like I have dried out. My laptop doesn’t quite feel the same yet, but we will have a chat about things today, see where he is coming from, what I can do to help him.

Or not 😉 Very happy to be back at work after over a week off, of course. So glad 🙂 Nah, its alright, its just I’d rather be at home than work, that is a very general state of affairs for me. Not too chaotic though, just settling back in nicely.

New countries to wave hello to are the USA and Singapore. This site is a right little globetrotter.

Well actually have been back a few days, but not been updating for a little, had friday off with S so generally we have been chilling and enjoying the very hot weather. Little walks to nice pubs, that sort of thing, very good for the mind body and soul.

Have had a visitor to the site from Costa Rica *waves*. Also some search engine went mental yesterday looking through the site. Was coming about every half hour

So in summary, course was very useful, definitely got a lot out of it. Will be interested to see when I get chance to use it, but I know I will at some stage

In a post 9-11 world, there is much around us that has changed. We read stories of incredible possible attacks, whole cultures are oppressed, war has been fought against our wills. And yet I feel that possibly the most incideous change that has taken place has been the collapse of the television advertising market, to the extent that the majority of the adverts we now see are for loans, insurance, and worse of all, mobile phone ringtones. If you want a job voicing over a mobile phone ad, it is a legal requirement that you should have a voice that makes children cry, heckles raise, dogs bark, cats caterwall. In esscence, a voice that not even a mother could love. I yearn for major companies to invest in advertising again.

Have got a connection in the hotel room, so hopefully will be posting the past two days up soon. Course is going fine, am starting to learn how to create stuff in Lotus Notes. I am starting to think I can now.

Sort of holed up in a hotel room tonight, will get to go out on the town the next couple of nights, so its not as sad as it might seem. Bit tired tonight, have been lost in London twice in two days. Which is a total record for me.

It is coming to the end of Big Brother. I really wasn’t going to watch this one, which would have been a shame, as it has been the best one every. Just evil and nasty in a very hilarious way.
