I am Simon Cowell
What I am going to try and do is have a hit single. Have decided to get around the problem that I cannot sing by making all the vocals out of other people. I want each individual word to be sung by a different person. Bit of a bugger on the editing, but I can do it. All I need now is to write a song, and to make music to go under it. I suck at both, but it hasn’t stopped many others

A Brief Experiment
Let me crave your indulgence but a brief time and wander through the trapdoors of my mind. I await motion and hope for application of my braincells in some formative and useful manner. I hope for more and furthermore hope for something. Just trying to keep my greyest matter from seizure. Pondering nothing, my mind slows evermore.
Small fragments float around, possibilities, ideas, but many, so many float away. Want to capture more of them.

I now want
Tony Hawkes Pro Skater 4, Metriod Prime, GT4 (but I’m going to have a bit of a wait there), Phantasy Star Online, Pokemon Sapphire and Ruby (I know, but I’ve played ALL the other GB games, and they are classy little RPG’s), Soul Calibur 2 (again a bit of a wait, but not as long as GT4). That should do me for the time being. Oh go on then, Super Monkey Ball 2.

Okay so never say this is the longest time you’ve kept a diary
Cos that never helps. We’re also back at day two of not smoking, which I can explain, and it is not some temporal time-warp thing going on.
Okay so GTA3 Vice City is the game du jour. Fucking brilliant. A hell of a lot has been tweaked. Looks great plays great even smells great. Only complaint I can think of is that anything involving a remote control vehicle is fucking awful. How they can design a game with brilliantly simple and effective driving, and then add in elements of remote control driving and flying (a simulation within a simulation, if you will) and make it frustrating to the point of wanting to get the designers mobile phone number, calling them up, getting to know them, befriend them, go out for a few drinks and meals, introduce respective partners, get to know their kids, look after their pets when they are away, waiting ten years before finally killing them in cold blood by beating them solely in the face with a potato masher. Well it is frustrating. Other than that, fucking great.

Day three of not smoking
It kind of feels like I’ve got something I should be doing, which I know I like doing, but I can’t quite remember how to do it. I’m less wired out than I expected, which has to be a good thing. I am on the patches, which makes it easier by far. I’ve now got another three months of this. Joy. It is worth doing though, both for my health and for the money.
Just had a spam with the title OPEN THE BARN DOOR GIRLS. Probably a good job they fucked up the e-mail, I didn’t really want to see what that was frankly.
This is about the longest in years I’ve kept any sort of diary type thing going. I used to for about 3 or 4 years at one point, but since then a day or two has been the best I could manage.

we’re getting Jedi in the morning
gave notice of marriage yesterday. On my way towards it now by far. 1 year and counting :). The registrar appears to be modeling herself on a Jedi, with a cape and a lot of pictures of Liam Neeson on her wall. Fine with me, I trust her wisdom in such matters. But she also had that air of knowledge and insight, almost beyond what was earthly.
The Angels won the world series of course in the end. First rule of thumb when it
comes to betting on sports is to pick the opposite of what I confidently predict. -
More work less shine
Struggling, have hit the shine wall. May have one later on, if I stay awake. But its getting harder to get the shines in.
Trying to get a hotel room in Brighton for soonish. So many of the places want me to book for two nights rather than the one. Why? I want to go for one night. I know why, of course, but so much for convenience. I’ve had to rule out lots of nice places that I would like to stay in, on the basis that they want twice as much money as I should need to spend. Fuckers.

Watching
The last game of the world series. Tied at 1-1 bottom of the second. It is late. I’m not going to see the end of this game. Lets just say that the Giants win, and I’ll go to bed believing that until I get up later.
Shines = 63. Haven’t been playing too much, had a slight return to Super Monkey Ball this weekend. I like it when you can leave a game for a month or two, come back to it, not have lost any of your finesse and skill (well except for the bowling, I’ve only had the magic touch on that for one weekend a good few months ago) and basically still love the game.
