So, we now have podcasting in iTunes. And the news is, its a bit clunky. No mass adding, feeds like beatfreax.nl are missing, it is basically not as nice to use as Ipodder. Yet.
I’m a little disappointed in Apple. I know they will get it mainly right fairly quickly, but I kinda hoped they would get it right first time.
Still, its now built in, most of my feeds are there, and it is going to help take podcasting to a wider audience, which is good of course. And it is day one, so I should really cut them a bit more slack.

They have got to be pretty careful though. There are all sorts of copyright issues that Apple have to get their head round. I guess that takes time above all else.
As for me, I’ll be sticking with Winamp thanks 😉
Don’t get me wrong, everything else on iTunes is perfect. It shats all over Winamp from a great height, not to put too fine a point on it.
If you haven’t seen it, you need to see how a search works in iTunes, beats any mechanism for file searching I have ever seen in Windows.

and the thing is, that’s how searching for anything works in OSX…
I know 🙁 I am sure Longhorn (the next version of Windows) will work exactly the same, perfectly and at the same speed
