Born in the North-East of England
Demand to be taught to read so I can understand the TV listings in the newspaper and find out when sport is on the TV
First memory – trailer for the autumn season of World of Sport. Was particularly impressed with the lumberjack sports
Can definitely remember seeing James Hunt win the F1 World Championship
First book I chose for myself, a Peanuts book (uk number 5 I think)
Saw my first arcade machine, what I now know to be a cocktail cabinet Breakout machine in Schiphol airport in Holland.
First football sticker album, Panini’s Football 80
First computer for Christmas, a ZX81
 First console, Atari VCS
First computer I truly loved, BBC Micro Model B
First time I heard House Music. Love Can’t Turn Around by Farley Jackmaster Funk (on TOTP). I didn’t know what it was, I just knew it was for me
Moved to Wales to study. Mostly had a great time but it was very wet
Moved to Swindon. Once fell off my bike drunk just before I attempted to navigate the magic roundabout, which frankly saved me from any further injury
Moved to Oxford. The gleaming spires
Moved to Bicester. No gleam nor spires.
Moved to Oxford again and stayed for quite some time.
Moved to Northallerton. Back to the North-East. Colder than I remember, but still fun.
